Long story short, book this venue!! Not only is it a beautiful space, but Brandon and Jane were so great to work with. I loved that there was indoor and outdoor sections so guests didn't feel forced to stay inside and dance/sit at their tables if they didn't want to. We had so many guests say that they loved the outdoor area and the fire pit. We also brought outdoor games which were a big hit. I also loved that there were spots to get ready right on the venue grounds for both the bride and groom - so many venues seem to only offer spots for the brides, so we liked that the groom got some love here, too! I also rented Grey House for the night before - highly recommend doing that, it was so fun to hang out there the night before my wedding with my bridal party, and nice to know I had a 45 second walk to the venue the next day 🙂
I also cannot say enough good things about Kelly & Tonya at Bashes - if you have the opportunity to use them after booking at Greywacke, DO IT!! They were such a huge part in making the day as successful, fun, and beautiful as it was.
Looking back, I couldn't imagine getting married anywhere but Greywacke. I can't recommend this venue enough!
I also cannot say enough good things about Kelly & Tonya at Bashes - if you have the opportunity to use them after booking at Greywacke, DO IT!! They were such a huge part in making the day as successful, fun, and beautiful as it was.
Looking back, I couldn't imagine getting married anywhere but Greywacke. I can't recommend this venue enough!

Just had my wedding here last night and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Throughout the evening, multiple guests came up to tell me this was one of their favorite wedding venues they’ve ever been to—if not the favorite.
Beyond the beautiful property and the outstanding quality of everything on-site, what stood out most to me was how versatile and welcoming the space is. I didn’t want a venue where guests felt limited to either being on the dance floor or sitting quietly at a table. Here, there was truly something for everyone—dancing, enjoying the outdoor patio, playing games, or simply having a great conversation in one of the many inviting spaces.
And I have to mention Jane, the owner—she was absolutely amazing to work with. Her care, professionalism, and attention to detail made the entire process smooth and stress-free, and it was clear she genuinely wanted our day to be perfect.
This venue created an atmosphere where every guest could relax and enjoy themselves, and that meant the world to me on such an important day.

Recently got married at Greywacke Meadows and would recommend them to anyone! The venue is gorgeous, every part of it. They have the main barn with a loft space to get ready, a bridal suite in an old farmhouse, and a separate ceremony space across the street. You can work with wedding planners from Bashes, which I would highly recommend, and you can create the perfect wedding for you! All of our guests said how amazing the venue was, plus it's on a quiet street, which is always nice. Jane and Brandon have both been super responsive and nice. We booked almost two years before our wedding and never had a single problem getting ahold of them or coordinating. Price wise, I think the cost is great for what you get. We viewed a similar venue that was 3x the cost, so being able to find what we wanted in a venue that was in budget allowed us to splurge on other things that helped bring the day together.
From planning, to prep, to the big day everything about Greywacke Meadows was spectacular! The atmosphere is stunning and they did everything to make my daughter’s wedding day perfect! It rained before our ceremony and everyone was patient and like magic the rain stopped so we could be outside! This MoB’s day was a breeze because they thought of everything!! We could not have been more pleased thank you Jane and Brandon!!!
My daughter recently had her wedding at Greywacke Meadows. I can’t say enough about how perfect everything was from start to finish! The venue is beautiful, the staff was so kind & accommodating & the owners were amazing! Her dream wedding came to fruition here!

Jane and Brandon are wonderful people, from the minute you first call to even the days after (because they want to see the beautiful pictures!). They are extremely responsive, and so helpful. They give a wonderful list of vendors who they have personally worked with previously to help ensure you have a great experience.
Every piece of their property is impeccable, the meadow is beautiful, the barn has everything you need for a perfect evening. We appreciate them and their venue so very much, it was a beautiful day. The loft and farmhouse for getting ready are gorgeous and comfortable! Book with them!!!

This venue is absolutely incredible. We had our wedding here 9/8/23, it was perfect. This venue is quiet and absolutely beautiful. We can’t say enough about the owner Jane. She made us feel so at home and she was always available for questions during the planning process. We had thunderstorms in the forecast on our wedding day but it was very important for us to be outside for the ceremony if possible. Jane made sure we were able to wait until the last minute to make the decision and had both the inside and outside ceremony space ready to go just incase. The rain stopped for about 30 minutes and she expedited everything to get our guests outside, dried the seats and made sure everyone had an umbrella incase of sprinkles. She made sure that the day was absolutely perfect for us in every way, and it truly was. They really make you feel like family at Greywacke. This place is also affordable and has a beautiful bridal suite to get ready along with a loft for the groomsmen which I haven’t seen elsewhere. The reservoir (just a 2 minute drive away) was a stunning scenic location for our first look. Please do yourself a favor and consider this venue for your wedding, it was an absolutely magical experience and we can’t thank them enough for everything they did for us.

My daughter and her husband had their Wedding Ceremony and Reception at this facility.
I can't say enough about the beauty of the grounds and the Bridal Suite is Fabulous.
Most of all; Brandon and his staff went above and beyond to be accommodating, professional and pleasant to all that attended especially the bride and groom.
I personally wanted to thank you for making their day such a Spectacular and memorable day.
I will wait to post pictures until I receive more profressional ones that were taken to assure this facility and their celebration are professional caputured.

We knew from the moment we got engaged we wanted to get married at Greywacke and even though we knew it would be amazing we had no idea how amazing it would be when the big day came! They truly know how to provide an exceptional overall experience. We will never be able to thank them enough for helping to bring our vision to life and make our wedding day so magical and perfect.
I have been a DJ in the Capital District for over 30 years, I have done several weddings at Greywacke, and I recently had a chance to DJ another wedding at Greywacke. I almost forgot how stunning this place is. Unfortunately, it was raining we had to do everything in the barn, (ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing). And, I don’t think it mattered to everyone who came to celebrate.
Everyone had a great time and the dance floor area was packed all night. The BARN, is not really a barn, but rather a beautiful venue specifically built from the ground up to look like a barn!! No dirt floors, old shovels, spiderwebs or lack of power here folks!
They poured a beautiful concrete floor, it’s wood beam construction AND plenty of new power outlets throughout the place. The owners and the caterers from Bashes were a pleasure to work with. Needless to say the wedding went great - the Bride and Groom were smiling all night. I’m looking forward to working with the team at Greywacke again.

Greywacke Meadows is a wonderfully rustic location; perfect as a wedding venue (and much more). A nice open field with hills and trees around it made for a great view during the fall with the leaves changing colors. The main building was huge and open, but still cozy. A back patio and areas to set up games, etc. made for an excellent time!
Great experience! The barn and and grounds are breathtaking and tailored for an enjoyable experience. The detail and planning that has gone into the layout and set up speaks to how much the owners care about making your day special. They are great to work with and would absolutely recommend this venue!
Went to a wedding here in mid-September. The main venue (the barn) is beautiful with the option for an outdoor wedding in the meadow across the street. Nice bridal suite in a separate building and a large patio out behind the barn. Perfect for a slightly rustic but formal wedding.
This is a gorgeous open barn venue. Beautiful interior and exterior patio with a firepit in the back. The food was good and the servers were very accommodating.

Beautiful place for an event, especially a wedding. It's got that rustic outdoorsy charm. Large barn for table seating. Out back is like a block patio with a nice fire pit and an old pick up truck for some pictures. Lots of parking.

Beautiful location. Easy transition from ceremony to reception. Well kept inside and out. Esthetically pleasing venue, even the lighting fixtures. Beautiful back patio / fire pit area. Staff were attentive. The owners were very welcoming. Had a great time as a guest!

We just attended our first wedding at Greywacke as guests. I could not have been more impressed. First, we left our driveway in Troy at 81 degrees and sunny at the end of July. I thought I was gonna die in a jacket and tie. When we got there it was 74 and breezy and couldn’t have been more lovely. The building is beautiful, well maintained and spotless and was even cooler inside. The bar was well located and convenient, the food was great and everybody in our party had a wonderful time. I’d recommend Jane and Brandon to anyone with confidence. Excellent!
The staff were top notch
Nice venue nestled in the woods of Grafton. Cozy barn atmosphere with a modern twist. Beautiful patio and fire pit area. We did see a black bear leaving the venue lol. T Mobile had no service however Verizon did. Plan accordingly if you need directions back to I-90
Exquisite! Wonderfully tasteful appointments throughout the facility. Lovely setting. Amazing gardens ... perfect for photo opportunities. Lovely bridal suite to prepare for that big day.
Beautiful venue! Great location for barn venue. Able to do outdoor ceremony in a gorgeous location.A beautiful meadow. Barn is beautiful and decorated it is really lovely. They added a new patio to the venue in rear which gave a new area to have cocktail hour outdoors as another added bonus.
If you are able to have your wedding here… DO IT. I have nothing but incredible things to say. The location is stunning, and the colors in the fall were next level. Everyone who attended our wedding fell in love with Greywacke and you will too!! Everyone was so nice and accommodating. The owners are there every step of the way to make sure things run smoothly. The last thing you want to do as a bride and groom is to deal with the issues that arise during your big day… they made every problem disappear.
A great place for live music or a party!
This venue and its owners are so amazing that I don’t even know where to start! Honestly I was mostly sold on it before ever seeing it in person. The pictures and the down-to-earth phone conversation with Jane, one of the owners, almost had it in the bag. Then we knew it was the exact vibe (modern rustic, romantic beauty) we were looking for on the first day we saw it. They were so accommodating and sweet when COVID caused us to reschedule our full wedding 3 times. They even let us use the grounds and patio for a small legal ceremony while we waited for restrictions to be lifted. To say this meant the world to us is an understatement! When we finally got to our larger wedding celebration day, it was magical. So many of our guests told us how much they loved the beautiful, laid-back setting and everyone had a great time. My 4 year old nephew loved the owners and their preferred vendors that we chose to use (highly recommend!), so much that he has vowed to work there when he grows up LOL! And since they sometimes have public events here, we’ll be back to visit as much as possible. In short, book your event here. You will be SO glad you did!
I cannot imagine getting married in a more perfect place. Greywacke Meadows has everything we could have ever imagined and more. Jane and Brandon are so accommodating and understanding and helped with any questions throughout our entire wedding planning process. Our wedding was perfect thanks to this beautiful place! I cannot recommend it enough!
Great venue and staff.
The best experience we ever could have asked for, for our wedding! It is beyond beautiful at Greywacke and Jane and Brandon take care of everything so nicely. All of our guests said how it was one the best weddings they have ever been to. You don't feel enclosed like most venues. You have both doors open, the back patio and the fire going. It's just overall an amazing place!

By far the best event venue I've been too. The staff was amazing and went above and beyond. The atmosphere can't be beat and the facilities are amazing. Just an awesome experience overall. Thank you! P.S. My 4 year old still plans on being an employee some day 🙂

This place is so special! We chose Greywacke because we're didn't want the same Saratoga cookie cutter wedding that everyone in the capital district seems to choose. The venue is gorgeous and the owners (especially Jane) are AMAZING!
When I called they actually ANSWERED which was a refreshing change from our venue search to begin with ( I called 8 venues, NONE of the others even bothered to call me back. )
We had to postpone our wedding a year due to COVID and they still made everything as seamless as possible. From quick email responses to constant advice and encouragement I cannot say enough positive things about this place! Not only was the planning process made easier by the expertise of the owner but the place is just BEAUTIFUL. We were married on site and then had a perfect dream reception in the stunning barn. This place is PERFECT if you are looking for a rustic, dreamy venue to have your special day!
